Magnetic paint is easy to use and versatile

Tips:

• Prepare the selected surface the same way you would a regular wall or water-based paint.
• Stir the magnetic paint properly so the iron particles can disperse evenly.
• Let each coat dry for 4 hours before applying the next.
• Before applying a coat of regular wall paint you should wait 6 hours. Before painting over with blackboard or whiteboard paint you should even wait 2 weeks to prevent uneven textures.

Rectangular, round, L-shaped or wavy: You can apply the magnetic paint any way you want. Just tape off a certain area on the wall, paint it with magnetic and then white paint. This allows for individual interior designs and inconspicuously hanging up photos, pictures, postcards, and other decoration. Because of the iron powder, the magnetic paint is grey. With transparent, white, green, or black whiteboard or blackboard paint, you can choose the colour you want.

• For the kitchen: Attach magnetic fleece to a space of your choice and apply water-based, blackboard, or whiteboard paint after drying. Not every magnet adheres well to magnet paint; common ferrite magnets are too weak. Strong cube and disc magnets made of neodymium or magnetic sheets and tapes are perfect for that purpose. Good to know:If you want the very best outcomes, we recommend three to four paint coats because compared to sheet metal, magnetic paint contains less iron per cm². Each additional coat adds more iron powder to the wall and magnets adhere better, however, it will never reach the same adhesive force as sheet metal.

You can also use non-ferromagnetic whiteboard paint to turn a wall into a huge whiteboard. It is also suitable to paint over grey magnetic paint. Whiteboard paint is especially convenient for the children's room: Children can be incredibly creative and create wonderful artwork on the wipable wall. FAQ for magnetic paint

How much does magnetic paint yield?

1 litre of magnetic paint is sufficient for 6 m² with one coat, but we recommend to put on at least two coats, which means that 1 litre is sufficient for approx. 2-3 m². If you want magnets to stick very strongly to your wall or newly created whiteboard, we recommend three to four coats.

Can you remove the paint at a later point?

Yes. There are two options:

• Since the colour itself is rather soft, it is easy to sand down (use respiratory protection).
• Or you can put the magnetic paint on a piece of wallpaper, which can be removed.

Is magnetic paint safe?

Our magnetic paint complies with the European safety norm EN-71-3 for children's toys and is lead-free. Therefore, magnetic wall paint is safe to use in the home and the children's room.
Also, people with pacemakers do not need to worry. The colour itself is not magnetic and therefore does not affect a pacemaker. It contains iron powder and has, therefore, ferromagnetic properties. That's why magnets stick to it, just like a refrigerator or metal door.

Can magnetic, blackboard or whiteboard paint weaken radio waves?

Yes. If the paint is applied wall to wall, each coat of magnetic paint weakens radio waves slightly and therefore may affect wireless reception or the use of a mobile phone. If you just paint the size of a regular bulletin board, it should not compromise the reception.
